In early 2000, working with one of the leading erectors of Wire-Wound Prestressed Concrete Water Storage Tanks in the USA, we designed an access manway specific to this type of tank construction.
Adapting our Model CM-1 Quick-Opening, In-Swing Manway features, we engineered a product that is easily set into a concrete form poured on the ground. The precast concrete wall sections are then raised to form the base wall structure of the tank. This manway is designed to accommodate a steel diaphragm embedded in the exterior of the precast panels, as well as the wire winding operation and exterior shotcrete installation.
